🧩 Grab a Puzzle and Get Cozy
Let’s be honest—rainy days are rare on the Costa Blanca, but when they do show up, they’re the perfect excuse to slow down and switch gears. One of our all-time favorite ways to enjoy a cozy indoor day? Puzzling! 🧩 Whether you’re solo, with kids, or a group of grown-ups, working on a puzzle is the perfect mix of mindful relaxation and satisfying challenge. It’s also a great way to keep little ones engaged without screens—plus, there’s something strangely addictive about finding that one elusive corner piece.

🌦 When in Doubt, Drive it Out
Just because it’s raining here doesn’t mean it’s raining everywhere! Especially on the Costa Blanca, showers are often super local. So before you cancel your plans, check your favorite weather app, hop in the car, and drive 30 minutes in a different direction—you might just chase the sun.
That’s exactly what happened to us one day: While it poured all day in Cabo Roig (my parents stayed warm and cozy inside), we decided to take a chance and head inland. And guess what? In Orihuela, the skies were clear, the streets were buzzing, and we had a fantastic time exploring the old town, indulging in sweet treats, and soaking in the views from the Seminario.

☕ Bonus Tip: Cosy Cafés & Brunch Spots
Sometimes all you need is a good book and a warm coffee. Try local favourites like Cabo Roig Café Lounge, The Hub or Ginos at La Zenia for a comfy break from the weather.
